My submissions for the Troy Members’ Show 2017 are…

Man oh man, I’ve got projects left and right, gotta get this piece done, gotta get this photo taken, gotta do this, gotta do that…

Oh crap.  I almost missed a deadline.  Shame on me.

And when I say “missed a deadline,” it means if I don’t submit my four entries to the Photo Center of Troy’s Members Show, I won’t be able to display ANY of my works at the Photo Center of Troy’s Members Show.

So with that in mind, I’m waiting back for a call on whether any of these four entries will hang on the walls in Troy this year.  And yes, all of these are purchaseable, so take that into consideration if you’re looking for a last-minute giftie.

They will include:

WHAT THE GRASSHOPPER SAW

What the Grasshopper Saw. Nikon Df camera, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens with Kenko 180° attachment. (c) Chuck Miller, all rights reserved.

So who doesn’t want to get their mitts on this nicely framed artwork? 😀

Also include in my submissions are:

COONEY MORDANT GRACE

Cooney Mordant Grace. Shot with Leica M3 camera, LomoChrome Purple film. (c) Chuck Miller. All rights reserved.

This was part of my photo series at St. Agnes Cemetery; some of the photos from this photo shoot were used in St. Agnes Cemetery’s excellent upcoming 150th anniversary history book.  This one didn’t make the cut for the book, but I’m hoping it makes the cut for the Members’ Show.

STONE, SALTWATER, SURF AND SEAGULLS

Stone, Saltwater, Surf and Seagulls. Nikon Df camera, Irix 15mm f/2.4 lens. Photo (c) Chuck Miller, all rights reserved.

Well, I have a very good feeling that this image might pick up a ribbon or two at some point… but how about a nice display showing at the Photo Center?

And finally…

THE CUMULO-NIMBUS ECLIPSE

The Cumulo-Nimbus Eclipse. Nikon Df camera, HELIOS 81-H 50mm f/2 lens, Solar filter, five images combined. (c) 2017 Chuck Miller, all rights reserved.

Trust me, if it weren’t for the Photo Center of Troy selling me those step-up rings for my camera lens, I couldn’t have captured this photo series.  So naturally I need to submit this entry to the show.

Now I just wait for a call, an e-maill, some puff of smoke from downtown River Street to let me know if any of these artworks made the cut.

And once I know … you’ll know as well.
