Competition Season 2016: The Washington State Fair

Two years ago, I entered some pictures in the Washington State Fair’s Northwest International Exhibition of Photography competition.  One of the photos I entered, The Three-Two Pitch, earned honorable mention status.  That’s nice.

We now move forward to 2016.  And I thought about entering some more pictures in that competition.

Now here’s the cool thing.  The Washington State Fair has a section that allows for digital prints, so I don’t have to ship foam-boarded entries this year, just digital ones.  I suspect these prints will be displayed on a projector of some sort.  Which is fine by me.

So here’s my entries – I put four entries in the “Digital Images – General” category, four in the “Digital Images – Nature” category, and three in the “Digital Images – Photo Travel” category.  Some of these pictures will be familiar to you; others you may not have seen in a while.

And there they are.

I won’t know if any of these were accepted for a few days at least… but if any of them do get claimed, I’ll make sure my son Kris gets to the State Fair and gets a photo or three of his own.

You know … a way to be proud of what his old man has achieved. 😀
