  1. JANGO’s ZOMBIE BLOG POST: 250 words a month – Is that so much to ask?

Zombie Blog: A blog that has not been updated in at least three months.

Greetings! Lo, it has been long since the last Jango’s Zombie Blog, but since summer is a detour for many folks, I thought we would let things shake out for a while and see who’s been naughty and who’s been nice!

Health/Wellness: Not too bad, one blog just under 3 months no update
Your Brain: An Owner’s Manual: Last post 5/20/15.

    Jodie Fitz: Last update 2/11/2015
    Gluten Free: Last update 2/9/2015

    Education/Student Life: Meh – A little expected.
This is College!? Last Update 5/19/2015
M.D. to be Last Update 5/6/2015

They’ve been good, last post in June!

Joy In These Days: Last Update 5/28/2015 [I am surprised Joy could find nothing to bloviate about. How’s that gay marriage thang working out for the rev. I wonder?]

Pay It Forward 11/12/2014: This is just so, so very very sad. Nothing good to report since November 2014? Why do you even exist?

They’ve been AWESOME, last post in July!

More blog awesomeness though the Zan Blog is back, writing about her favorite subject – herself.

The Pine Hills: Last Update 5/11/2015
Clifton Park/Halfmoon Last Update 12/3/2014 DISGUSTING!
    Scotia-Glenville: Last Update 10/18/2014 SHAME!

Ken Screven: Last Update 5/15/2015 COME ON KEN, COME ON. You are awesome when you are pissed off, write damn it! You’re retired, what do you care what people think?

Weather and Climate: Last update 3/25/2015 I HATE HATE HATE ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS BLOG. Few blogs piss me off more than Weather and Climate. Absolutely no postings over the summer. Ever. None at all. Not last year. Not this year. The faculty is DOA or otherwise shoves this responsibility on some unlucky Meteorology majors. This blog is not serving the public, it only serves as a senior project for some students and before the semester is over, they’re done with it. DUMP THIS BLOG!

Also, her majesty Rosemary Amaro bagged out on her blog during the school year and descends from her pedestal at SUNY and WAMC to share with us little trickles of truth of the elite media. I’m sure we would hear more from her if she could tweet her blogs while behind the podium, or in the jury box, huh Rosemary?

    Birding: Last update 5/2/2015

Moms@Work: Last Update 4/30/2015. There are two of you ladies on this blog, try a little harder huh?

Jason Purvis: Last update 2/3/2015. He posts an artiicle, stops for months and months at time, then manages to fart something out, then nothing. This has not been the first time Jason has been on the Zombie blog list. Dude, if you can’t write 250 words in 7 seven months just give it up already.

Dog training with Jody Diehl: Last update 4/6/2015
    Cats Last update 3/1/2015
Bark: Confessions of a Dog Trainer: Last update 12/22/2014

I am a dedicated cat rescuer and I know how busy we can get taking care of strays and ferals, but these last updates are totally inexcusable.

Christine Benedict: Last Update 5/22/2015. Christine has been AWOL since she began running for mayor, though given how she pretty much despises the half of the electorate that is moderate or liberal, this has been nice. Take more time if you need it Christine, we sure do.

Rabbi Matt Cutler: Last Update 5/20/2015
Rev. Sam Trumbore: Last update 5/20/2015
Two awesome dudes we need to hear more from.

Soccer as Life: Last Update 4/28/2015
14 blogs on sports and only “Soccer as Life”, which actually should be SROWING about the US women’s soccer is totally AWOL. The single biggest story this sport has to write about in years and Soccer As Life is DOA. At least Mike Medved had the good sense to pull his seldom attended to “House of Hoops” blog, which went without an update for 11 months in 2013-2014.

This one goes to the ON THE EDGE blog, the Kristi Gustafson-Barlette-Throat- Warbler-Mangrove’s self-serving free ad space for WFLY. For what purpose does this abortion of a blog exist? There are many, many radio stations in the Capital Region with MORE listeners and a greater impact on the region. Barlette’s blogs are nothing more than crossover advertising for her radio station.

Why does the Times Union allow such blatant advertising in a blog? Why not get other stations in on this blog on a rotating basis.

Take a look at Kristi’s contribution for her last three blogs:

June 14, 2015: 41 words. Soliciting a poll whose results she has yet to report on in her “column.” My last bowl of Alphabets cereal had more words in it.

    July 2, 2015 105 words

    July 10, 2015 67 words

Embarrassing is all that is. She is just using the TU for her own career and contributes as little as possible to the effort. At least the creepy looking guy in the photo with her manages to keep his mouth shut in print. Wish he did the same when he is on air.
And that’s the way it is July 30, 2015.

    1. It occurs to me that maybe the non-paid, non-staff TU blog writers for the zombie blogs are in solidarity with the TU staff that have enjoyed no raises or respect for 8 years.
